Job Title: Operations Supervisor

2 Openings:  One (1) as Contract Instructor for Service Dispatch, and Two (2) as Contract Instructor for Substation Operator(s)

Job One (1) Summary (Contract Instructor for Service Dispatch)

Job One (1) – Client Service Dispatch is seeking a new member for the Technical Training team within the Transformation & Centralized Service organization at its Edison NJ location. The team performs analysis, design, development and evaluation of technical training for Clients Electric Distribution Line of Business clients. The position is to support Client to advance the training that supports a safe, skilled and efficient utility work force working in concert with a team of training professionals for Client's Service Dispatcher occupational group.  This role is to train electric service dispatchers in accordance with job specifications, contractual obligations, technical manuals with a focus on energy control procedures and service restoration.

Job One (1) Responsibilities (Contract Instructor for Service Dispatch)

1. Person must enjoy providing client service, be a team player, and excel in communicating both verbally and in writing. 
2. High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are also important for effective collaboration with fellow instructors and the entire Technical Training team. 
3. The position works with process owners and process improvement managers across the utility to establish process efficiency.  Therefore, the position requires strong internal and external relationship building skills and behaviors.
4. The role is responsible to conduct the instruction and learning evaluation required to provide apprentice and incumbent employees & contractor personnel (as required) with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform operations, installation and maintenance service work dispatch, reading and analyzing circuit diagrams, ordering and applying safety tags (lockout / tagout) in accordance with job specifications, contract obligations, and regulatory requirements. 

Job One (1) Specific Requirements  (Contract Instructor for Service Dispatch)

1. High school graduate or GED
2. Minimum of 5 years of utility experience in service dispatch
3. Able to learn and apply training and development processes of analysis, design, development, evaluation, and alternative delivery methods, including automated computer-based applications training
4. Proficient in Word, Microsoft Excel, and Power Point
5. Strong oral and written communication skills
6. Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record 

Desired Skills (Contract Instructor for Service Dispatch)

1. Bachelor’s degree in education, training, or instructional design and 5 year of utility experience in electric service work dispatch, circuit diagrams, ordering and applying safety tags (lockout / tagout)

2. Knowledge / experience or the ability to learn evolving systems, such as assessment facilitation, need/task analysis, instructional design/development, and instructional evaluation

3. Supervisory and / or project management related experience

4. Experience in Learning Management System (LMS) use and data management / reporting

5. Experience in alternative training delivery methods, including automated, computer-based or virtual / augmented reality applications

6. Process Improvement skills / Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

7. Minimum 5 years of experience

8.  High School Graduate or GED

Job Two (2) Summary (Contract Instructor for Substation Operator(s))

Job Two (2) Client Substation Operations is seeking a new member for the Technical Training team within the Transformation & Centralized Service organization at its Edison NJ location. The team performs analysis, design, development and evaluation of technical training for Clients Electric Distribution Line of Busiess clients. The person will advance the training that supports a safe, skilled and efficient utility work force working in concert with a team of training professionals for Clients Substation occupational group.  This role is to train electric substation operators in accordance with job specifications, contractual obligations, technical manuals with a focus on energy control procedures and service restoration.

Job Two (2) Responsibilities (Contract Instructor for Substation Operator(s))

Job Two (2) Requirements

2. Minimum of 5 years of utility experience in power substation switching
3. Able to learn and apply training and development processes of analysis, design, development, evaluation, and alternative delivery methods, including automated computer-based applications training
3. Proficient in Word, Microsoft Excel, and Power Point
4. Strong oral and written communication skills
5. Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record

Job Two (2) Desired Skills (Contract Instructor for Substation Operator(s))

1. Bachelor’s degree in education, training, or instructional design and 5 year of utility experience in service dispatch
2. Knowledge / experience or the ability to learn evolving systems, such as assessment facilitation, need/task analysis, instructional design/development, and instructional evaluation
3. Ability to facilitate joint union / management assessment teams
4. Supervisory and / or project management related experience
5. Experience in Learning Management System (LMS) use and data management / reporting
6. Experience in alternative training delivery methods, including automated, computer-based or virtual / augmented reality applications
7. Process Improvement skills / Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
8. Minimum 5 Years of Experience
9. High School or GED

Additional Details for BOTH positions:

1. Location: All on-site at Edison training center
2. Schedule: Working 2-3 weeks per month

** All work remote currently (go into Edison training center occasionally)
** Local candidates

** Must be able to legally authorized to work in the United States**
