Job Tittle:  Business Analyst

Pay per hour:  $39.00 (W2 Contractor)

Hours per week: 40 hours a week
Contract Duration: 6-9 months
Location:  Hybrid - required to come to an office location 6 times a month (Newark, NJ office). The rest will be remote work.  Every month needs to come in 6X (usually Wednesdays plus another day for meetings). 6:30/7am start (Newark office).

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

• Perform monthly Purchase Card Audits for the Utility
• Perform Monthly Fleet Exception Reporting and aid in new system upgrade.
• Perform Quarterly Accruals for the Utility using Audit Sampling
• Update Guidance link Documents
• Gather and link data from diverse sources in order to perform analyses, identify trends and correlations, develop and track metrics, identify performance gaps, deliver actionable information and present opportunities for improvement within 3rd party damages.
• Support the Business Improvement Team through the assessment, analysis, development and implementation of program related data and material.
• Develop a method for storing, tracking data and electronic files (i.e., Microsoft SharePoint, network drives, etc.), and design with recommendations for consolidation, security, efficiency, and usability improvements.
• Designs, develops, and delivers standardized databases, forms, queries and reports for capturing, organizing, tracking, retrieving, assembling, and disseminating data and metrics from the following:
• Develops and maintains databases, spreadsheets, presentations, documents, Tableau data visualization files, etc.
• Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirement

Job Specific Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or related field
• Minimum of 5 years relevant professional work experience: 5 to 7 years of business analysis/professional experience working with large data sets
• Ability to support thoughtful decisions by gathering, transforming and analyzing data to develop and document conclusions and / or recommendations.
• Proficiency with MS Office products (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Detail oriented, driven and able to effectively work independently
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across department boundaries

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. (Occasional travel to Company locations may be required)

• Track record of managing complex multi-disciplined projects
• Experience working in a Utility
• Process improvement experience- Lean Six Sigma green belt or above
• Conceptual knowledge of accounting and/or auditing standards
** SAP is a plus

**Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

**Local candidates (NJ/Metropolitan area)

** Must be able to legally authorized to work in the United States**
