JOB TITLE: BUYER (supply chain / procurement related)

OVERVIEW:

Our firm, Tri-Power Consulting Services, LLC (TPC), seeks a full time a Buyer (supply chain related) with strong SAP and Ariba experience to support our Newark NJ based electric utility client in issuing requisitions and Purchase Orders as part of its Procurement Nuclear and Utility operations.

Open to all qualified candidates as a W2 employee of TPC, especially good for a person has buyer experience in the utility industry with strong SAP and Ariba skills. All work will be at client headquarters professional office in Newark, NJ working directly with and as directed by the client on daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for executing purchasing transactions for goods and/or services on behalf of client.
• Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors
• Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
• Completing change orders to outline agreements and purchase orders
• Creating and maintaining contract files
• Printing and issuing Purchase Orders
• Completing new vendor request forms.
• Assisting clients & suppliers in resolving invoice issues
• Demonstrated skills using SAP and Ariba.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated ability to provide procurement Purchase Orders and requisitions using SAP and Ariba systems, as well ability to summarize SAP / Ariba data into reports using MS Excel / MS Access to validate, and analyze results.

• Demonstrated proficiency in PC applications (MS Office Suite, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

• College degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

• Best fit has up to approximately 3-4 years of SAP and Ariba experience in a buyer role with some client oversight.
