Title: Gas Transmission Estimating Supervisor

Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Gas Transmission organization operates approximately 6,000 miles of pipelines, nearly 200,000 hp of compression and three storage facilities. We are looking for new talent to manage the department that provides engineering design & estimating support to the Pipeline, Station, Project, SCADA & Controls and Metering & Gas Quality engineering departments of the Gas Transmission organization.
Position Summary
This position will report to the Director of Gas Transmission Engineering, supervising and leading the Gas Transmission Estimators located in Chico, Redding, Grass Valley, Rocklin, Sacramento, Fresno, San Carlos, Vacaville and Hinkley. The work will require strong analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to build collaborative relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. The estimating organization is responsible for detailed engineering, design, pricing, and preparation of job packages critical to the safe and reliable operations of the natural gas transmission system.
This position will provide leadership to a team of 12 to 14 bargaining unit professionals ensuring that the work group adheres to all standards and compliance requirements while maintaining necessary production levels. Is the lead Supervisor for Microstation training and process.
This is a remote position and can sit anywhere in the PG&E service area. There is 30% travel involved.
Qualifications
Minimum
5 years of relevant experience in the utility industry, that includes a combination of supervisory experience, gas estimating, gas mapping and/or gas engineering experience
Demonstrated knowledge of estimating tools
Proven leadership of a diverse team
Desired
Bachelor's degree
Experience in GIS, SAP, Microstation
Familiar with compliance requirements for employees
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships
Demonstrated excellent communication skills
