***This is a contract postion for ME with 3-5 Years Pro/E 4.0 experience in the aero or DOD industry - client location is in Parsippany, NJ***

Machine Design Engineer (Mechanical) to assist in design and troubleshooting of hoists, winches, and gearboxes for use in a wide range of military applications (land vehicles and aircrafts). Candidates with 2-5 years of experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry is preferred. However, entry level candidates will be considered. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative mechanical design solutions for new and existing products/prototypes development projects
• Assist with prototype development and BOM creation 
• Develop concepts and detailed designs from customer and internal specs
• Provide cost-effective engineering solutions 
• Work independently and as part of a small team
• Provide drawings and other drafting support
• Assist in outsourcing of work as needed
• Gear train related experience
• Comprehensive understanding of GD&T
• Must be able to analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans and documentation 

Requirements: 

• Strong skills in Pro Engineer Wildfire a MUST
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel 
• Experience in machine part design (Kinematics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Stress Analysis)
• Must be well organized and a self starter
