Pay per hour:  $43/hr  (W2 Contractor)

Hours per week: 40 hours a week
Contract Duration: 2 years
Location:  Hybrid – (2 days per week on site in Hancocks Bridge, NJ)

Full Job Description:

The Project Estimator will provide project related estimating services to company (Nuclear division)  in all field of project construction (civil or mechanical). This requires an individual with a strong will to learn estimating practices who brings a good understanding of engineering basics, project management, and construction methods, along with a basic understanding of power plant systems. This position acts in a consulting and collaborative fashion with the Project Team and subject matter experts to review and understand new project designs, installation strategies, and risk mitigation. This is a hybrid position which requires on site time 2-3 days a week. ** Will be trained on company systems

 

Job Responsibilities

• Preparing reliable project cost estimates at various levels of certainty
• Reviewing project scope and risks to develop mitigation costs
• Evaluating installation and constructability options
• Consulting with various project team members
• Support interface with various vendors

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:


• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a technical discipline) **Flexable about Bachelor's based on experience**
• Demonstrated self-starting skills and ability to work both independently and with a team
• 5+ years of construction estimating or project management experience (doesn't have to be Nuclear specific)
• Good understanding of project management processes
• Ability to prepare cost estimates from basic one-line diagrams and conceptual level engineering design information
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Perform field walkdowns for project installation work scope review

Desired skills:
• Nuclear power plant experience
• Industrial/Manufacturing process plant experience

 **Local candidates (NJ/Metropolitan area)

** Must be able to legally authorized to work in the United States**
